5.1.5. Removal and installation of the thermostat

Details of installation of a working element of the thermostat of the engine of a series 111


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of a working element of the thermostat of the engine of a series 111 are shown on an illustration to which all references which are found in the text belong.
  2. Empty the cooling system (see the Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases).
  3. Remove the top forward cover.
  4. Disconnect hoses of a cooling path (2 and 4).
  5. Turn out fixing bolts (1) and uncover (27) thermostats with the working element which is built in it (27a) a casing of the thermostat (30).

In order to avoid irreversible damages the working element should not be taken from a cover! In case of need replacement of an element is made assembled with a cover.

  1. Installation is made upside-down.
  2. In conclusion check the cooling system for existence of signs of development of leaks.

The thermostat assembled with a casing

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of assembly of the thermostat of the engine of a series 111 are shown on an illustration to which all references which are found in the text belong.
  2. Remove assembly of the fan of the cooling system with the viscous coupling (1).
  3. Empty the cooling system (see the Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases).
  4. Uncover the power unit (16).
  5. Disconnect hoses of a cooling path (2, 3 and 4).
  6. Disconnect an electrical wiring and vacuum lines from the thermostat (30) of the sensor of temperature which is built in in a casing.
  7. Remove an eye (6).
  8. Turn out fixing bolts (7, 8 and 9) and remove a casing of the thermostat (30) assembled with a cover (27).
  9. Carefully smooth out a sealing surface, prepare a replaceable sealing ring (31).
  10. If the casing of the thermostat needs replacement, remove from it temperature sensor.
  11. Installation is made upside-down.
  12. In conclusion check the cooling system for existence of signs of development of leaks.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of the thermostat of engines of series 112 and 113 are shown on an illustration to which all references which are found in the text belong.
  2. Empty the cooling system (see the Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases).
  3. Remove the panel of finishing of the power unit / assembly of the air cleaner.
  4. Disconnect a hose of a cooling path (5).
  5. Turn out fixing bolts (3) and remove a casing of the thermostat (1) assembled with a working element.

In order to avoid irreversible damages the working element should not be taken from a cover! In case of need replacement of an element is made assembled with a cover.

  1. Installation is made upside-down.
  2. In conclusion check the cooling system for existence of signs of development of leaks.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of the thermostat and the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid of the engine of a series 612 are shown on illustrations to which all references which are found in the text belong.
  2. Empty the cooling system (see the Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases).
  3. Remove panels of finishing of a cover of a head of cylinders.
  4. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid (B11/4).
  5. In case of need remove a clamp (3) and take the sensor (1), - prepare a new sealing ring (4).
  6. Remove a basic arm of fuel lines (20). Disconnect from a thermostat casing (9) lines cooling (17) and ventilating (18) paths.
  7. Remove a casing of the thermostat (9), - pay attention to adjusting position of the connecting union (14), prepare new sealing laying.
  8. Installation is made upside-down.
  9. In conclusion check the cooling system for existence of signs of development of leaks.

  2. Remove bypass a sleeve of a path of pressurization of air.
  3. Disconnect from a casing of the thermostat (3) a hose of a cooling path (2).
  4. Remove a casing of the thermostat (3) assembled with a working element, - prepare a replaceable sealing ring (3a).
  5. Installation is made upside-down.
  6. In conclusion check the cooling system for existence of signs of development of leaks.
