2.6.9. System of anti-blocking of brakes (ABS)

The system of anti-blocking of brakes (ABS) prevents premature blocking of wheels, continuously operating the speed of their rotation during braking due to modulations of pressure of hydraulic liquid in each of brake mechanisms. Activation of system happens automatically at dispersal of the car to speed over 8 km/h.

Rather notable pulsations of a pedal of a foot brake at sharp braking are connected with activation of ABS and should not cause concerns, - continue to squeeze out a pedal.

At activation of the LOW RANGE mode for the movement on off road terrain of ABS it is transferred to a specific mode of functioning in which at delay of the car to speed below 30 km/h periodic blocking of forward wheels for the purpose of reduction of a brake way is made.

Remember that transition of ABS into a specific mode of functioning for the movement on off road terrain can bring to "dives" of slowly moving car, considerably reducing its controllability!
