10.4.13. Removal and installation of a reducing gear wheel of the transfer case

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Details of installation of a reducing gear wheel of the transfer case are shown on an illustration to which all references which are found in the text belong. Remove the mechanism of switching of the transfer case (see the Section Removal and installation of the mechanism of switching of the transfer case). Develop a reducing gear wheel (1) so that access to a lock ring (shooter) opened. Unclench a lock ring and at the same time from below push an entrance shaft up, - take and remove to the reliable place a persistent washer (2). Having pulled up, take a reducing gear wheel (1). Carefully wash out all components, wipe with suede and dry compressed air. Installation is made upside-down. In conclusion check the transfer case for existence of signs of development of leaks.
