Replacement of a gas-distributing chain on the series 111 engine

Illustrative material on replacement of a chain of the GRM drive for the engine of a series 111 is presented on an illustration to which all references which are found in the text belong.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Uncover a head of cylinders (20).
  2. Turn out spark plugs.
  3. Having turned a bent shaft in the normal direction, bring the piston of the first cylinder into situation 20 ° after VMT.
  4. By means of blocking cores (01) record inlet (75) and final (78) camshafts.
  5. Remove a natyazhitel of a chain (14).
  6. By means of special adaptation (02) fix a chain (4).
  7. By means of special adaptation dismember links of a chain and remove the last from the engine.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Get a new chain on the regular place and by means of special adaptation make a joint of links.
  2. Having executed necessary preparations (see the Section Removal and installation of components of the GRM drive), establish a natyazhitel of a chain (14).
  3. Check correctness of basic position of camshafts (see the Section Installation of Basic Position of Camshafts).
  4. Establish a cover of a head of cylinders.
  5. Start the engine and check it for existence of signs of development of leaks.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  2. Turn out spark plugs
  3. Uncover heads of cylinders.
  4. Remove the electric fan of system cooling/assembly of the fan with the viscous coupling (depending on a complete set) and a fan casing.
  5. Having turned a bent shaft in the normal direction, bring the piston of the first cylinder into situation 40 ° after VMT, - camshafts have to be deployed by grooves to the diametrical plane of the engine and be fixed freely by blocking cores.

On the models equipped with the air pump before installation of the right blocking pin it is necessary to otboltit the combined valve. Copperplated segments of a chain have to be combined with tags on asterisks of camshafts, - for the purpose of achievement of the required result it can be necessary to turn a bent shaft to 14 times.

  1. Remove a natyazhitel of a chain (see the Section Removal and installation of components of the GRM drive).
  2. Remove the sensor of position of the camshaft (CMP).
  3. Having turned a bent shaft in the normal direction, provide convenient access to the dismembered chain links.
  4. Remove the bridge of covers of bearings of the right camshaft.
  5. By means of a pin (3) block the right camshaft.
  6. Establish holders of a chain (1 and 2).
  7. By means of special adaptation dismember links of a chain and remove the last from the engine.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Turning a bent shaft in the normal direction, get a new chain on the regular place.
  2. Remove from heads of cylinders holders of a chain (1 and 2).
  3. By means of special adaptation make a joint of links of a chain.
  4. Turn a bent shaft in the normal direction and achieve the required combination of adjusting tags.
  5. Take the plug (3) blocking the right camshaft.
  6. Establish the bridge of covers of bearings of the right camshaft.
  7. Install the CMP sensor.
  8. Establish a natyazhitel of a chain.
  9. Establish a fan casing.
  10. Establish ventilatory assembly.
  11. Establish covers of heads of cylinders.
  12. Screw spark plugs.
  13. Connect a negative wire to the battery.
