4.5.2. Removal and installation of covers of the GRM drive
Details of installation of a forward cover of a head of cylinders of the engine of a series 612

- Details of installation of a forward cover of a head of cylinders of the engine of a series 612 are shown on an illustration to which all references which are found in the text belong.
- Remove a head of cylinders (3) (see the Section Removal and installation of a head(s) of cylinders).
- Remove a natyazhitel of a chain (9) (see the Section Removal and installation of components of the GRM drive).
- Remove the preliminary fuel pump (13) (see the Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases).
- Turn out screws of fastening of a forward cover of a head of cylinders (5).
- By means of the screw-driver raise a ratchet (7) of blocking of the top guide of a chain (8).

The guide will remain in a GRM drive case. |
- Having pulled forward, remove a forward cover of a head of cylinders (5), - try not to drop the directing pins.
- Before installation carefully smooth out the interfaced surfaces of a forward cover and a head of cylinders.
- Apply sealant on the interfaced cover surface.
- Installation is made upside-down. Track that all fixture was tightened with the required effort.
- In conclusion start the engine and check it for existence of signs of development of leaks.

- Details of installation of a forward cover of a head of cylinders of the engine of a series 628 are shown on an illustration to which all references which are found in the text belong.
- Airdistributing sleeve.
- Release and take aside an inlet tube of a path of pressurization of air.
- Remove nozzles (Y76) of the right number of cylinders.
- Uncover (5) right heads of cylinders.
- Remove bypass a sleeve of a path of pressurization of air.
- Disconnect from the engine block (above the generator) a basic arm of an electrical wiring of candles of an incandescence.
- Remove the vacuum pump (1)
- Remove the fuel pump of high pressure (FPHP) (2).
- Turn out fixing screws and, having pulled forward, remove a forward cover (3).
- Before installation carefully smooth out the interfaced surfaces of a forward cover and a head of cylinders.
- Apply sealant on the interfaced cover surface.
- Installation is made upside-down.
- Track that all fixture was tightened with the required effort.
- In conclusion start the engine and check it for existence of signs of development of leaks.

- Details of installation of a cover of the GRM drive on the engine of a series 612 are shown on illustrations to which all references which are found in the text belong.
- Open a cowl and record it in vertical position.
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- Remove the lower section of a noise isolation.
- Empty the cooling system (see the Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases).
- Merge motive oil (see the Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases).
- Remove panels of finishing of a cover of a head of cylinders (3 and 4).
- Disconnect hoses of a cooling path (30 and 31).
- Remove a sleeve of an air inlet (4/2).
- Remove a sleeve of a path of pressurization of air (110/6) assembled with the hose connected to it (9).
- Remove the electric fan of the cooling system (10).
- Remove nozzles (Y76) (see the Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases).
- Uncover a head of cylinders (5).
- Having turned a bent shaft in the normal direction, bring the piston of the first cylinder into the provision of VMT, - tags of the camshaft and a cover of its bearing have to be combined.
- By means of special adaptation (03) block a gear wreath of a flywheel / a driving disk.
- Remove a natyazhitel of a chain (22) (see the Section Removal and installation of components of the GRM drive).
- Release a guide on an arm.
- Remove the thermostat (see the Head of the Cooling system, heating and the air conditioner).
- Remove a forward cover (7) of a head of cylinders (see above).
- Take off a belt of the drive of auxiliary units (see the Head Dvigatel).
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from the K/B (12) compressor.
- Otboltite the compressor (12) and, without disconnecting refrigerator lines, take him aside.
- Disconnect the lines of a cooling path brought to the liquid heat exchanger of the lubrication system (see the Section Service of the Lubrication System).
- Disconnect hoses (17 and 18) from the water pump (19).
- Remove the water pump (19) (see the Head of the Cooling system, heating and the air conditioner).
- Remove a sleeve (21) of a path of pressurization of air.
- Turn out bolts (24) fastenings of the pallet of a case from a GRM drive cover, only weaken other bolts of the pallet.
- Turn out bolts of M8 (25) of fastening of a cover of the GRM drive to a head of cylinders.
- Uncover the GRM drive.
- If the chain of the GRM drive is subject to replacement, remove a natyazhitel of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units.
- If the cover is replaced, remove liquid the lubrication system heat exchanger.
- Carefully smooth out the interfaced surfaces.
- Apply sealant on the interfaced cover surface.
- Installation is made upside-down, - do not forget to establish into place the directing pins.
- In conclusion check the engine for existence of signs of development of leak of working liquids (oil, fuel, cooling liquid, K/V coolant and so forth). Also make cleaning of memory of the module of onboard self-diagnostics (see the Head Sistemy of electric equipment of the engine).
